No Ebola concerns over Africa trips for Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has no concerns over players such as Yaya Toure visiting West Africa despite the outbreak of the Ebola virus.

Toure returned from the Ivory Coast on Thursday after having played against the DR Congo in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The venue for next year's finals is in major doubt, however, after the proposed host country, Morocco, raised fears about the Ebola outbreak.

"No, really we are not concerned about it," Pellegrini said. "Yaya is not concerned either. I suppose he is sure about that problem - I don't think he will have any problems.

"I don't know if he was screened, but for the moment he's okay."

Two other Manchester City players, Aleksandar Kolarov and Matija Nastasic, returned his week after being caught up in violent scenes in the match between their country, Serbia, and Albania.

The clashes, which caused Tuesday's European Qualifier in Belgrade to be abandoned, were sparked by a mini-drone trailing a pro-Albania flag over the Partizan Stadium.

Pellegrini said: "They have both come back on Thursday. Of course it was not a good experience for them. It's very difficult to be involved in those kinds of incidents.

"We will see what happens in the future. But it was a very bad thing for football - in both a political sense and football sense."
