Reportedly in-demand youngster tells of top-flight desire
Southampton midfielder Andrew Surman concedes the South Coast club could be forced to sell in the January transfer window.
The England Under 21 international has been linked with a transfer away from St Mary's in the past, and it is reported that Stoke City and Fulham are both currently interested in his services.
Surman has started all of Southampton's 21 Championship games this term, but, with the side struggling in the league, he admits he aims to one day ply his trade in the Premier League.
Surman said in the Daily Mail
: "I'd like to see the group stay together but the financial situation might not let that happen.
"I'd be delighted to play in the Premier League with Southampton but, if it means one day moving on, then that's what I'll have to do."
Coach Jan Poortvliet added in The Sun
: "We'd like to keep all our players in January but it's not down to me."
