Swede joins Fulham

Swedish striker David Elm has joined Fulham for an undisclosed fee and has penned a one-year deal. The 26-year-old arrives from Kalmar in his homeland and had been strongly linked with a switch to Craven Cottage of late. He enjoyed a productive two-year stay with Kalmar, helping them to the Swedish title in 2008 and Swedish Cup in 2009. Elm is, however, delighted to have made a move to one of Europe's top divisions and is excited by the challenge which lies ahead in England. "I am looking forward to training with the team straight away in preparation for some important Premier League and Europa League matches after the international break," Elm told Fulham's official website. "I have enjoyed my time in Sweden and I am now looking forward to an exciting chapter in my career with Fulham."
