Craven Cottage chance for Stewart

Fulham have handed a trial to Histon defender Callum Stewart after he caught the eye of club scouts. Stewart has been invited to Craven Cottage for three days of training after catching the eye of Fulham's head of recruitment Malcolm Elias. Fulham will cast an eye over the 19-year-old, but Histon boss Alan Lewer is not reading too much into the trial offer "Callum has gone down there for three days' training," Lewer told the Cambridge News. "Malcolm's seen him play a couple of times and has been asking me about him. "He's gone there to train with their Under-19s and to see if he can cope with that, and Fulham will see if they like him. "Callum was at Ipswich before he joined us and he enjoys the full-time training, but I wouldn't read too much into it."
