Mexico international set to replace Konchesky at Craven Cottage
Skysports.com understands Fulham are lining up a deal to sign Mexico international Carlos Salcido from PSV Eindhoven.
Salcido has been linked with a move to the Premier League over the summer after impressing for Mexico during the World Cup finals.
Liverpool and Wigan Athletic have been mooted as admirers of the 30-year-old, but it appears he could be on his way to Fulham.
With the Cottagers' current left-back Paul Konchesky tipped to join Liverpool, Salcido has been earmarked as a replacement.
The defender has spent the past four years in Dutch football with PSV and has been an integral figure at Philips Stadion.
If he completes a move to Craven Cottage, he will become the second player to join Mark Hughes' side from the Eredivisie in the past week.
Belgium international Moussa Dembele arrived from AZ Alkmaar and the striker impressed on his debut as a substitute against Manchester United last Sunday.
Hughes has also added Algerian defender Rafik Halliche to his squad since replacing Roy Hodgson as Fulham manager.
