Fulham set their sights on Belgium international

Sky Sports understands Fulham are lining up a deadline day deal for Brugge midfielder Vadis Odjidja. The Cottagers are keen to make the 23-year-old the latest Belgium international to join the Premier League ranks. Were they to prove successful in their efforts, Odjidja would help to cover the loss of his fellow countryman Moussa Dembele to Tottenham. He is a different kind of player to Dembele, as he is more of a holding midfielder than a creative one, but Martin Jol is keen to bring extra bodies on board now he has money to spend. It is believed that enquiries as to Odjidja's availability have been made, with those at Craven Cottage keen to identify attainable targets as quickly as possible. Odjidja has tried his luck away from his homeland once before, with little success, but he is older and wiser than he was when linking up with German side Hamburg back in January 2009.
