Karl Robinson’s departure from Charlton Athletic is expected to be confirmed on Thursday morning, Sky Sports News understands.
Charlton lie ninth in League One, five points off the play-off positions, but have won just one of their last eight league games.
Robinson left MK Dons to succeed Russell Slade as Charlton manager in November 2016, but he is believed to have offered his resignation to club owner Roland Duchatelet on two separate occasions.
Charlton have been without a chief executive since December when Katrien Meire quit to join Sheffield Wednesday, while Duchatelet has been in talks over selling the club, with an Australian consortium the latest to be linked.
Sky Sports News understands Lee Bowyer will take charge of the team for their home match against Plymouth on Saturday.
Robinson has been linked with the vacant manager's position at Oxford United.
