Hull striker Nouha Dicko was as stunned as anyone as his header from a yard out somehow managed to miss the target.
When his team-mate Kamil Grosicki evaded the challenge of Gaetano Berardi to deliver a cross from the left, it looked to simply be a case of the unmarked former Wolves man simply tapping home from point-blank range.
However, Leeds goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald managed to get the all-important touch that changed the pace of the ball and made the finish nigh-on impossible.
Dicko did manage to make a connection on the cross, but Wiedwald's connection meant he could only direct his header onto the roof of the bar from just a yard out.
