Striker heads for Cardiff talks and medical

Cardiff have agreed a fee with Motherwell for striker Chris Porter. Porter's future at Fir Park has been the subject of intense speculation for some time with the player's contract expiring in the summer. Huddersfield had a bid accepted for the former Oldham man earlier this month, but the 25-year-old rejected the move to the League One hopefuls. Cardiff have moved for Porter as they look to reunite him with former Well strike partner Ross McCormack. Motherwell have given Porter permission to travel to Wales for talks and a medical ahead of a proposed move to Ninian Park. "We have received a bid from Cardiff for Chris and it is now up to the lad to decide if he wants to go," said Motherwell boss Mark McGhee.
