Birmingham City boss Garry Monk charged by FA over dismissal in Brentford draw

Birmingham manager Garry Monk has been charged by the FA with "using abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official" during Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Brentford.
Monk was incensed by the red card shown to City midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld at Griffin Park and was also sent off by referee Tim Robinson.

The Blues are planning to appeal Kieftenbeld's dismissal, with Monk describing the sending off as "100 per cent the wrong decision."
Monk has until 6pm on October 8 to respond to the charge levelled against him.
