Birmingham City defender David Edgar has joined Sky Bet Championship rivals Huddersfield Town on loan for the rest of the season.
The Canada international had a regular role in Lee Clark's Blues side at the start of the campaign but he has been reduced to a bit-part role since Gary Rowett's arrival as manager.
Edgar came on as a second-half sub in last weekend's 1-1 draw at Leeds but that was only his third appearance since the end of October.
Birmingham have not included a recall clause in the deal but he will not be eligible when the teams meet at St Andrews on March 14.
He joined Birmingham from Burnley at the start of the season and is under contract until the summer of 2016.
