In-demand Wallace weighs up options

Skysports.com understands MLS side Toronto FC are keen on signing Sunderland midfielder Ross Wallace. The Canadian club have been alerted to Wallace's availability after he was placed on the transfer list in January. Wallace was surprisingly made available for transfer by Black Cats boss Roy Keane despite featuring in the majority of the club's games this season. Toronto FC are keen to bolster their squad ahead of the new MLS season in April and have approached Wallace's agent over a possible move. Wallace's representative Tony McGill confirmed Toronto, along with a number of Championship sides, had made an enquiry for the former Celtic man, but that any move was on hold because of an injury to the player. The versatile performer is recovering from a knee ligament injury and once he returns to fitness he is set to make a decision on his future. "Toronto FC made an enquiry for Ross about taking him over to MLS," McGill told skysports.com. "Ross is available for transfer and a number of Championship clubs have shown an interest in him "The problem is Ross is injured at the moment and he is working on getting fit again. "Once Ross is fit he will make a decision on his future and what he wants to do as a number of clubs have expressed an interest in him."
