Marseille striker must pass medical before sealing Greek switch

Djibril Cisse has confirmed all that is left to do before he seals his €8million move to Panathinaikos is his medical. The 27-year-old is currently on his way to Greece to undergo the tests before he can officially be named a Panathinaikos player. Cisse has reportedly penned a four-year deal after the Greek club agreed a fee with Marseille following reported interest from Tottenham. "I will be travelling on Thursday to Greece for my medical, after that I will talk to the press," he told skysports.com.

Meanwhile Pana president Nikolas Pateras has expressed his delighted with the capture after revealing the club had been trailing Cisse for a year. "It's a year that we've been interested in Djibril Cisse," he told Le 10 Sport. "There's nothing left but for him to sign. "We reached an agreement with Marseille, the player is coming with his wife and will stay two to three days in Greece and, if everything goes well, he will be a Panathinaikos player."
