Nuno Espirito Santo insists Wolves will not lose their focus as they near the end of a successful first season back in the Premier League

Nuno Espirito Santo insists Wolves will not lose their focus as they bring a successful first season back in the Premier League to an end.

Wolves are currently 10th in the table in their first campaign back in the top flight for six years, and are guaranteed to finish as the highest placed of the three promoted sides.

They are just one point behind seventh-placed Everton - a position that would secure qualification for the Europa League if Manchester City beat Watford in the FA Cup final - but have won just one of their last five league games.

Highlights from Wolves' 0-0 draw with Brighton in the Premier League

Yet despite their drop in form, Nuno insists his side are not thinking about their summer holidays, saying: "Every game is a chance to improve. We have a fantastic opportunity to become a better team and try new things.

"There's no thinking about the summer or next season; it's a game-by-game process. It's a clear idea we've been building since day one. We are here and we started in the Championship, so nothing has changed.

"There's no reference to the table; it's a squad that wants to work together and improve every day."

Wolves host Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday, when they will be looking to add to the impressive 13 points they have taken from 10 games against the Premier League's 'big six' sides.

Nuno is expecting a very different challenge than in their previous match against Brighton, which finished 0-0 despite Wolves having 68 per cent of the possession and 17 more shots than their opponents.

He said: "Totally different, because every game is a new game and nothing repeats in football.

"What happened against Brighton is difficult to explain; how dominant we were but not able to find the net. That's the only issue we have to improve regarding tomorrow.

"We are ready to compete against all the opponents. We look at Arsenal and we know it's a very strong team - good players, good manager. It's going to be a tough challenge, but we are ready for it."
