Saints ace the latest new face at Molineux

Premier League new boys Wolves have signed Southampton midfielder Andrew Surman. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week Wolves have capitalised on Southampton's financial problems to agree a deal for highly-rated winger Surman. Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is thought to have beaten off interest from a host of clubs to lure Surman to Molineux. The 22-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the option of a further 12 months. "This is a great move for me and I'm really excited," Surman told the club's official website. "To come to a Premier League club, and one as big as Wolves, is fantastic. "We'd had a disappointing season at Southampton. I think we had enough quality in the team to be able to do something but unfortunately it all went sour and we ended up getting relegated, which is never nice to have on your CV. "I'm ready to go again with Wolves. Even though it looks a young side here it's also a very experienced side when you consider how many games they have played." The former England Under 21 international is Wolves' fourth new signing of the summer as they prepare for life back in the top flight. Surman is the second player to depart St Mary's this week following David McGoldrick's switch to Nottingham Forest.
