Ryan Bertrand says he is itching to get back to work at Southampton under new manager Claude Puel.
The left-back, who signed a new Saints contract earlier this month, is yet to begin pre-season training after going to Euro 2016 with England.
Awaiting him at Staplewood is a new boss, and Bertrand has already received glowing reports about Ronald Koeman's replacement.
"I've spoken to a lot of people about him and, what he's done so far, the boys have been really pleased with it, so I'm looking forward to getting to work," Bertrand told the club's You Tube channel.
"In football, you look forward to having a break and it's not too long into that break before you start to get the itch and the buzz again to come back.
"We've had a lot of changes, new shirt sponsors, new kits and stuff, so it's always good to get back to those things too."
Saints finished seventh and sixth - their highest Premier League positions - in Koeman's two seasons at the club, and Bertrand believes progress can be maintained under Frenchman Puel.
"That's what we're in it for," he said. "No one plays football to sit still. You always want to progress, and, when you sit down and analyse what progression will be, that's the task that will be set and that's what we'll hope to achieve."
