Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has received a boost after James Tomkins, Yohan Cabaye and Steve Mandanda proved their fitness for the development side
On a day when winger Yannick Bolasie was sold to Everton for an undisclosed fee, manager Pardew would have been pleased to see his squad options grow with Tomkins, Mandanda and Cabaye all featuring in a 1-0 win over a Nottingham Forest Under-21 side.
Tomkins, who has been recovering from a hamstring injury, signed in the summer from West Ham and could be in line to make his debut against Tottenham on Saturday while Mandanda, another summer recruit this time from Marseille, could also be in contention for the visit to White Hart Lane.
Midfielders Cabaye and Joe Ledley also featured in the game following this summer's exploits at Euro 2016.
Cabaye was part of the French side who reached the final and Ledley was an integral part of the Welsh team who were knocked out by Portugal at the semi-final stage.
After Palace started their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 defeat to West Brom, Pardew could be tempted to freshen up his line-up at the weekend.
