Tottenham have cooled their interest in Wilfried Zaha with the club not prepared to meet Crystal Palace's current valuation of the forward.

Spurs have been linked with the 25-year-old for the second summer running but Sky Sports News understands they are unwilling to meet the reported asking price which is in excess of £70m.

The north London club made a concerted effort to sign Zaha a year ago but that ended when he signed a contract extension at Selhurst Park.

The Ivory Coast international was Palace's second top scorer last season and played a major part in helping the team move away from the relegation zone and finish 11th in the Premier League.

He won his first Premier League Player of the Month award in April and was named Palace's Player of the Year for the third successive time.

Last month Zaha said he saw no reason to leave his "home" Crystal Palace. He grew up in Croydon and has spent the majority of his career at Selhurst Park, the exception being a disappointing spell at Manchester United in 2013/14 when he was also loaned to Cardiff City.
