Wilfried Zaha will miss Crystal Palace's FA Cup fifth-round tie against Doncaster on Sunday after his appeal against an additional one-match ban was rejected.
Zaha accepted a charge of improper conduct after his second-half sending off against Southampton on January 30, but contested the additional one-game suspension and £10,000 fine.
That allowed him to play in last weekend's Premier League draw with West Ham, where he scored Palace's equaliser.
However, his appeal was dismissed by an independent regulatory commission on Friday afternoon, ruling him out of Sunday's trip to the Keepmoat Stadium.
Speaking before the verdict was announced, Palace manager Roy Hodgson said the suspension given to Zaha was too severe.
"I think it is a very harsh punishment," he said. "We think the sending off was punishment enough."
Michy Batshuayi could make his first Crystal Palace start on Sunday.
