Lee Mason, who refereed Arsenal's win at Crystal Palace, will be fourth official at Leicester this weekend.

The referee was widely criticised for failing to show a second yellow card to midfielder Francis Coquelin during the Gunners' 2-1 Premier League win, with former official Dermot Gallagher telling Sky Sports Now that "70 per cent" of referees would have sent the player off.

Coquelin was booked for a first-half challenge on Yannick Bolasie at Selhurst Park but escaped a second yellow for tripping Wilfried Zaha at the end of the half and also went unpunished for a foul from behind on James McArthur after 62 minutes.

Mason warned Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker about Coquelin's conduct and the player was quickly substituted by Arsene Wenger.

The list of match official appointments for this weekend has Mason down as fourth official at Leicester City for their home game against Tottenham. Martin Atkinson will referee the match.
