Coventry City have signed Joe Cole on a deal to the end of the season after a successful loan spell.
Cole, 34, played seven times for the League One club on loan from Aston Villa, scoring his only goal with a superb free-kick in the Sky Blues' 4-3 win over Barnsley in November.
The former Chelsea and West Ham player, who won 56 England caps, has impressed manager Tony Mowbray, who is delighted to have someone with Cole's experience around his squad.
Mowbray said: "Since he joined the club, I've really enjoyed working with Joe and delighted to see him sign on for the rest of the season.
"Our staff have worked hard with him to build up his fitness and physicality, and we've seen Joe really buy into what we're trying to do here.
"He's great to have around the dressing room and the rest of the squad feed off his experience, and I'm sure it'll have a positive impact on our younger players as well.
"I only see his performances for the club getting better and he is a fantastic option to have from now until the end of the season."
The Sky Blues have also signed 32-year-old defender Peter Ramage on a deal to the end of the season - he was a free agent after a spell in the Indian Super League with the Kerala Blasters.
Mowbray added: "We're delighted to get Peter into the club as he has really impressed during his time training with us.
"He has a wealth of experience behind him, with clubs in the Premier League or Championship which will be invaluable to the squad as the season progresses."
