Former Manchester United and West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison says he wants to "rebuild" himself at Swedish club Ostersunds.

Sir Alex Ferguson lauded Morrison as the most talented player in United's academy as a teenager, before he failed to earn a regular place in the first team and moved to West Ham.

Loan spells at Birmingham, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff followed, but Morrison eventually moved to Italian side Lazio.

Fresh from what he calls "one of the best seasons I had in football" on loan at Mexican club Atlas, Morrison is now close to agreeing a deal to join Swedish side Ostersunds and is training with the club in Marbella.

"I'm here to rebuild myself really," he told Ostersunds' YouTube channel. "Enjoy it, play football, win everything we can, it's exciting, I'm really looking forward to it."

Self-described as a "young, humble person from Manchester", he said he is eager to enter the "next chapter" of his career.

"I'm 26, looking to push on now," he said.

Morrison became most aware of Ostersunds when the club beat Arsenal in the second leg of their Europa League last-32 tie at the Emirates under Graham Potter, now manager of Swansea.

Arsenal won the tie 4-2 on aggregate.

"This team beat my team as well, it wasn't a great day when it happened being an Arsenal fan because I wasn't linked with you then, but now it is all about thinking positive," he said.
