Hull have shown a firm interest in signing Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick, according to Sky sources.
The 24-year-old has spent his entire professional career at Derby, scoring 22 goals in 196 appearances.
After his impressive displays at Euro 2016 for Republic of Ireland, Hendrick has caught the attention of Premier League clubs including Burnley who, according to Sky sources, made two bids for the midfielder in July.
Sky sources understand two players are having medicals at Hull on Monday, with one of those being Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall.
We understand the Premier League new boys are looking to make a total of four transfers before Wednesday's deadline.
It is also understood Hull interim manager Mike Phelan has not given up hope of signing Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason.
Hull are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing the 25-year-old, who is a product of Spurs' academy.
In terms of outgoings, we understand there is interest in striker Abel Hernandez and defender Harry Maguire but neither player is expected to leave the club at this stage of the transfer window.
