Australian defender to miss remainder of season

Leeds United will be without Patrick Kisnorbo for the remainder of the season after he suffered knee ligament damage against Burnley. The Australian defender, who missed virtually the whole of the 2010/11 campaign through injury, fell awkwardly after 20 minutes. Kisnorbo had been a regular under manager Simon Grayson, featuring in 19 of their 25 Championship games. The 30-year-old is expected to undergo an operation in the coming weeks and Grayson has labelled the injury as a 'big blow'. "We've had the unfortunate news that Paddy has suffered ligament damage and has been ruled out for the rest of the season," he told the club's official website. "It's a big blow for the club, but more so for Paddy after the long-term injury he has just recovered from."
