Defender signs on, Welsh staying, Warne moves on

Yeovil have completed the signing of former Oldham defender Stefan Stam. Stam has signed a two-year deal at Huish Park after being released by Oldham at the end of last season. Glovers boss Terry Skiverton was delighted to land the Dutch stopper. "I'm really pleased. He's got a really good pedigree and is exactly the type of character that we are looking for," Skiverton told the club's official website. "Of all my summer targets Stefan has been up at the top of the list."

New deal

Meanwhile, Andy Welsh has agreed a new two-year deal with Yeovil. The 25-year-old impressed for Yeovil last season following his arrival from Blackpool last summer. Welsh was happy to pledge his future to the League One club. "I'm really looking forward to settling in the area and I can't wait for the start of the new season," noted Welsh. One player who will not be at Huish Park next season is Paul Warne after he failed to agree a new deal at the club.
