Penney confident keeper can kick-start career at Boundary Park
Oldham Athletic have signed former Luton Town goalkeeper Dean Brill on a two-year contract.
Brill had been available on a free transfer after being released by Luton following the club's relegation from the Football League.
He has secured a move to League One side Oldham and will vie with Greg Fleming for the No.1 jersey at Boundary Park next season.
The 23-year-old becomes Dave Penney's seventh summer signing and the Latics boss is confident Brill can make an impact.
"Dean was being tipped for the Premier League a couple of years ago," Penney told the club's official website.
"His career has stood still a little since, but I'm confident he can kick-start things here. He has the quality and he has the right attitude.
"Dean is a player who has played at Championship and League One level and at 23 he's the right age to progress and continue getting better."
