Live football on Sky Sports this week: Aston Villa visit Dean Smith's former club Brentford

Last Updated: 13/02/19 9:16am

With seven Championship games live on Sky Sports on Wednesday night, there's no better place to catch all the action...

Dean Smith returns to his old stomping ground when Brentford host Aston Villa at 7.45pm, with coverage live on Sky Sports Football from 7pm and Sky Sports Main Event from 7.30pm.

Four wins in the last six games have lifted Brentford up to 18th in the Championship table, and they can move within three points of their former manager's side with a win at Griffin Park on Wednesday.

But will the visitors still be bouncing after their three-goal comeback against Sheffield United on Friday night - and can they use it to improve their own poor form?

The rest of Wednesday's Sky Bet Championship fixtures will also be available via the red button, with Ipswich vs Derby, Leeds vs Swansea, Preston vs Norwich, Sheffield United vs Middlesbrough, Wigan vs Stoke and Reading vs Blackburn (8pm) all available.

You can catch full coverage of the whole schedule, as well as clips of goals as they go in, and updates from the Champions League, on a Gillette Soccer Special with Julian Warren on Sky Sports News and Sky Sports Premier League from 7pm, where he will be joined by Matt Le Tissier, Michael Dawson, Emma Hayes and Neil Mellor.
