Nottingham Forest have made a bid in excess of £1m for Hibernian striker Jason Cummings, according to Sky sources.

Cummings scored 23 goals in 39 appearances last season as Hibs secured the Scottish Championship title and a return to the top flight following a three-year absence.

Forest boss Mark Warburton is yet to add to his squad this summer as he prepares to take charge of his first full season at the City Ground.

Cummings, capped 11 times by Scotland at U21 level, has netted 71 times in 150 appearances since breaking into the Hibs first team in November 2013.

The 21-year-old, whose current contract at Hibs runs until 2020, scored eight times against Rangers during Warburton's one-year spell in charge at Ibrox.
