Swansea pair Ashley Williams and Gylfi Sigurdsson were both delighted with their side's win over Arsenal

A tired, bruised but elated Swansea captain Ashley Williams said his team were "over the moon" after they shocked Arsenal with a late 2-1 victory.

Alexis Sanchez had scored the first goal for the Gunners at the Liberty Stadium after 64 minutes but a Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick brought Swansea level before substitute Bafetimbi Gomis headed the winner for the hosts.

Williams told Sky Sports 1: "We're over the moon... there's nothing better when you feel like this, you're tired, you've got bumps and bruises but you got the points at the end."

Swansea's first scorer Sigurdsson was pleased he could make it count when it mattered as he did in the opening match of the season, a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

After notching his seventh goal this term, he said: "Gomis came on and changed the game so with a little bit of luck we got there in the end.

"It made (scoring) special as we came back from 1-0 down and in the second half. It was a fantastic game and well done to the lads for coming back.

"Arsenal and Man Utd, two goals - it's fantastic - but it's about winning the game, we got the three points today so we're going home happy."
