Crewe have confirmed academy coach Carl Everall is no longer employed by the club after he was sentenced for attempting to groom an underage girl.
Everall, who was Crewe's head of foundation, admitted a charge of attempting to groom an underage girl at Chester Crown Court last week
The 28-year-old was given a three-year community order, a 35-day rehabilitation activity requirement and made to sign the sex offenders register for five years.
Crewe had already suspended Everall from the club after the allegations initially came to light last October.
The Football Association had also suspended the academy coach from all football-related activities while the governing body conducted inquiries into allegations relating to his behaviour.
In a statement released to the Guardian, Crewe said: "Carl Everall was suspended immediately after breaking safeguarding rules in September and his contract was terminated in February."
