Bristol Rovers boss Mark McGhee bemoaned his side's defending following the 4-0 defeat to League Two leaders Gillingham.
Danny Kedwell bagged a brace before Charlie Lee struck a third on the stroke of half-time and Chris Whelpdale sealed the points for the Gills to leave Rovers still winless this campaign. "That was a long day in the office," he said. "To go two down in the manner that we did it was an impossible task. "The first was a long ball over the top, and the second a long throw, you have to deal with those if you are going to give yourself a chance against a team of that quality." McGhee admitted he may have to dip into the loan market in order to inject his team with some much-needed experience, saying: "Looking at our side we finished with nine young players on the pitch compared to theirs, they have men in their team and we need a few more of those. "They are young and inexperienced and I have had to say some home truths, but I have to take a lot of responsibility. I need to ask myself, am I putting too much faith in these players? At the end it did feel like men against boys, and maybe I need to look at some loans to bring a little bit of experience to this group."
