Notts County's new signing Will Hayhurst is looking forward to building up his match fitness after joining from Preston.
The 20-year-old midfielder had featured just twice in the last three months for North End, both times as a substitute, before making the move. "I've been at Preston a long time and it was obviously hard to leave, being my hometown club, but I feel like it's the stage of my career, 20 years old, I need to play games regularly and I felt like Notts County's a great opportunity and I feel like it will be a good move for me," he told the club's official website. "I kind of wanted to go out on loan and get some games, but then I heard of a permanent deal and I was excited, so hopefully I can do well and it's a good future for me."
