Former Hereford manager Jamie Pitman has been relieved of his coaching duties at Edgar Street.
Pitman, a former Bulls player, was promoted from club physio to boss in October 2010, initially on a caretaker basis, and successfully steered the club to npower League Two safety that season. He was rewarded with a new two-year contract last summer but was duly replaced in March of this year and demoted to the role of first-team coach as Richard O'Kelly was brought in to help stave off relegation. O'Kelly was unsuccessful and stood down from his position on Friday after rejecting the chance to manage United in the Blue Square Bet Premier. It came just 24 hours after assistant manager/goalkeeping coach Russell Hoult and coach Richard Sneekes were relieved of their duties as Bulls chairman David Keyte looked to reduce the club's five-man coaching staff. Director of football Gary Peters will now aid in the search for a new boss but will not take the reins himself. Keyte told the club's official website: "I can confirm that I spoke to Jamie Pitman on Friday evening when I informed him that his contract would be terminated with immediate effect. The financial settlement will be in line with the termination clause with Jamie's contract, which had one further year to run."
