Dundee United have revealed striker Darko Bodul has parted company with the Tannadice club by mutual consent.
The 27-year-old was signed by United last summer on a two-year deal from Austrian club SC Rheindorf Altach.
But the former Ajax, Sturm Graz and OB Odense player has agreed to leave halfway through his contract.
The Croatian forward made 12 appearances for United as the club were relegated from the Scottish Premiership last season.
United are in the process of rebuilding their squad as new manager Ray McKinnon plots a swift return to the top-flight from the Championship.
A statement from Dundee United read: "Darko Bodul and Dundee United have agreed the player's release from his contract by mutual consent.
"The 27-year-old striker played 12 times for the Terrors during the 2015/16 season. The Club thanks Darko for his contribution and wish him well in the future."
