Andrius Velicka admits Rangers' early exit from Europe is a 'catastrophe' following the shock UEFA Champions League defeat to FBK Kaunas.
Rangers crashed out at the second qualifying round of the Champions League after losing 2-1 to Kaunas in the second leg in Lithuania.
Velicka, who previously played for Kaunas, had an opportunity to put Rangers back in control of the tie when the score was 1-1.
The striker concedes he should have taken his chance and has been left gutted by the club's elimination from European competition.
My fault
"I cannot sum up how I feel," said Velicka.
"Maybe it was my fault because of the chance I had, you have to score those chances. I cannot think of a worse night - it's a catastrophe."
Walter Smith acknowledged Rangers were not good enough in the game and Nacho Novo feels the players have to shoulder the blame for the defeat.
Novo said: "It's disappointing and the players feel very bad right now. We've not done enough and if there's a problem, it's with the players.
"It's easy to blame the manager or other things, but the players need to do a little more.
"It's definitely the worst night of my career and it's so disappointing.
"We need to do more and we need to change everything and try to go for the win. You need a goal to win games."
