Former Everton starlet wins Easter Road move

Hibernian have snapped up former Everton youngster Thomas McCready. McCready, who came through Everton's academy, was released at the end of last season and Hibs have moved to bring him to Easter Road. The midfielder had a spell training with Hibs last season and he has done enough to win a contract at the Edinburgh club. McCready will start off at Hibs' successful Under 19 side and coach James McDonaugh claims the side beat a host of clubs to the 18-year-old's signature. "He has a chance - you don't play a few games for Everton reserves for nothing - so he's got great ability," McDonaugh told the club's official website. "When Tom came up last season and trained with the boys that were winning every week, it helped to get him to the club."
