Scottish champions consider move for winger

SPL champions Rangers are ready to join the hunt for Jason Puncheon, skysports.com understands. The 24-year-old joined Blackpool on loan from League One side Southampton during the January transfer window. Puncheon has gone on to impress for the relegation-threatened Tangerines and Blackpool boss Ian Holloway admits he wished he had already signed him on a permanent basis. "We've only borrowed him, which is a shame. I wish we had already bought him because I think he is a terrific lad," Holloway said. "He looks to me as if he slots in with everything about this football club. It is no mean feat to jump up two levels and look really comfortable but he has, so well done to him." Skysports.com revealed the likes of Bolton, Everton, West Brom and Newcastle were all keen on the former Milton Keynes Dons ace. Now it can also be confirmed that Rangers have joined the chase to land his signature. "I can confirm that they [Rangers] have registered their interest," his agent Tony Finnigan told skysports.com.
