Hearts have agreed a deal to take Ashley Smith-Brown on season-long loan from Manchester City.

The 21-year-old left wing-back becomes the club's sixth summer signing following the arrival of Northern Ireland international Michael Smith

Smith-Brown is a product of the Manchester City youth academy, having joined the club at the age of 10, and has also represented England at various youth levels in recent years.

He spent last season on loan at Dutch outfit NAC Breda and played a key role in helping them secure promotion back to the Eresdivisie.

Former Peterborough right-back Smith, 28, has signed a two-year deal and will join his international teammate Kyle Lafferty at Tynecastle.
