USA side consider new move for Hibs ace

MLS outfit Houston Dynamo have confirmed their interest in Hibernian striker Derek Riordan. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this month, Houston are one of a number of clubs chasing Riordan on a free transfer. Riordan's contract at Easter Road expires in the summer and he is expected to leave on a free transfer. Watford and Crystal Palace are both thought to be keen on bringing the 28-year-old forward to England this summer. Lester Gretsch, senior director of communications for Houston Dynamo, has confirmed they are weighing up a new bid for Riordan after seeing an earlier offer for his services rejected. "We did make a serious bid for Riordan earlier in the year but were unable to reach an agreement," Gretsch told the Edinburgh Evening News. "It is unclear at this time whether we would have a renewed interest. We'd have to speak with his agent, which we haven't done, before making that determination."
