Steven Gerrard and new rival Brendan Rodgers can step up their plans for the 2018/19 Scottish Premiership season when the fixtures are released on Friday.

New Rangers boss Gerrard will go up against his former Liverpool manager Rodgers this term and has the tough task of trying to check Celtic's dominance after their second successive domestic treble.

When are the fixtures released?

The new Scottish Premiership features - plus schedules for all Championship, League 1 and League 2 clubs - will be out at 9am on Friday, June 15.

When does the 2018/19 season start?

Scottish league football gets going on Saturday, August 4.

The Championship, League 1 and League 2 seasons end on May 4, while the Premiership concludes on May 18/19.

Any other key dates?

The Scottish Premiership will once again have a winter break this season. The competition pauses for almost three weeks off between December 31 and January 18.

The group stage of the Betfred Cup commences on July 14, while the last 16 round will take place on Saturday, August 18 rather than the usual midweek slot due to a change in UEFA competition dates.

The first round of the IRN-BRU Cup is scheduled for the midweek of August 14/15.
