Radamel Falcao came off the bench to score a brilliant free-kick late on to give Monaco a 2-1 win against Dijon in Ligue 1.

Cedric Varrault gave Dijon a surprise lead shortly before half-time when he bundled home after keeper Danijel Subasic failed to clear a long-range header.

However, Monaco clicked into gear in the second half and they were back on level terms in the 69th minute thanks to a long-range free-kick by Nabil Dirar, who drove an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.

Time was running out for a winner but, with nine minutes left on the clock, former Manchester United striker Falcao, who was a second-half substitute, stepped up and beat keeper Baptiste Reynet with a stunning free-kick of his own to complete the turnaround.
