Atletico Madrid have identified Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi as a potential replacement for Diego Godin, who will leave the club at the end of the season. Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen is a target for Portuguese champions Benfica. The Primeira Liga side could move for the Dutchman, who has made just eight appearances in all competitions for Barcelona this year, as soon as the season ends. (Marca)

Atletico are also said to be interested in Benfica defender Ruben Dias, but have been put off by his release clause of €60 million. That could prove too costly for Los Colchoneros, who will face competition from Juventus should they move for the 21-year-old. (AS)

Diego Simeone must make a decision at the other end of the pitch, too, with Alvaro Morata's loan from Chelsea set to come to an end. Atletico may opt to pay the €18m required for another season-long loan. There is also the potential for a permanent transfer for the Spaniard, who has scored six goals in 17 appearances since arriving in Madrid. (AS)
