Granada moved out of the La Liga relegation zone after thrashing fellow strugglers Levante 5-1 on Thursday.
Yousef El Arabi's hat-trick - including two penalties - not only ensured Granada hammered their relegation rivals at home, but also sent Levante to the foot of the table.
Isaac Success and Ruben Rochina also hit the target for rampant Granada, who moved into 17th place, one point ahead of Sporting Gijon with four games to play.
Ruben Garcia's late goal handed Levante hope as the visitors cut the deficit to 3-1, only for El Arabi to strike twice more and end any argument about the result.
Getafe took advantage of Granada's helping hand to lever themselves off the foot of the table, winning 2-1 at Real Sociedad to record their first victory in 14 attempts.
Pablo Sarabia and Alvaro Vazquez struck either side of half-time for the jubilant visitors, after Carlos Vela had opened the scoring for the home side.
