Paco Jemez has paid the price for Granada's worst start to a season for more than 70 years with his job.
A return of just two points from six games has left Granada 19th in La Liga and the club's board have reacted by sacking their recently-appointed coach.
The 46-year-old Jemez took over on a three-year deal in July, having previously spent four years with Rayo Vallecano.
A statement on Granada's website read: "After studying in detail the actual situation and the results achieved, this decision has been unanimously taken.
"Paco Jemez will give today his last training session in charge of Granada ... from this afternoon onwards the first team will be temporarily guided by Granada B coach Lluis Planaguma, with whom the club has complete confidence."
Granada were beaten 3-1 by Alaves on Monday and face Leganes on Saturday.
