Roberto Soldado had an absolute shocker for Villarreal as he missed a sitter during their victory over Sporting Gijon in La Liga on Friday night.
The former Tottenham striker, who had already found the back of the net earlier in the game, was presented with an open goal by strike partner Cedric Bakambu, but somehow contrived to slip over and skew the ball wide of an open goal.
It didn't cost the Yellow Submarine, however, as Bakambu notched his second and Villarreal's third of the night as they cruised to a 3-1 victory over the relegation strugglers.
Villarreal remain in fifth in the table after the victory, as they kept up their slim hopes of catching Sevilla in fourth and claiming the final Champions League spot.
