Argentine flattered by Italian overtures

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has vowed to stay at Camp Nou after attracting interest from Internazionale. Internazionale president Massimo Moratti is a big admirer of the Argentine forward and has expressed his desire to lure him to Italy. A number of Europe's top clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and Milan are all believed to have expressed an interest in Messi, but the player has snubbed their overtures. Messi admits he is flattered by Inter's interest in his services, but he says he expects to stay at Barcelona for the foreseeable future.

In my heart

"I have Barcelona in my heart and I expect to stay here for a long time," Messi told Radio del Plata. "That is my decision for the moment. "I am very thankful to the people of Inter because they have been interested in me and I am very thankful to the president Massimo Moratti for the very nice words that he said about me. "I am very proud that such an important person said very nice things about me."
