Real Betis secured an immediate return to the Primera Division following a 3-0 win over Alcorcon on Sunday.

Ruben Castro netted either side of the break to put Betis 2-0 ahead and Jorge Molina made sure of victory with a third goal in the 65th minute.

The win means Betis are guaranteed a top-two finish in the Segunda Division and an automatic promotion place.

Los Verdiblancos made a shaky start to life in the second tier but have lost only one league game since head coach Pepe Mel returned for a second spell in charge having lasted only four months at English club West Brom.

Betis' ascension guarantees there will be four Andalusian clubs vying for honours in the top flight next term - Sevilla, Granada and Malaga are the other three.

Yet two more sides from the southern region, Cordoba and Almeria, are heading in the other direction.
