Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has signed a new contract with the Spanish giants which keeps him at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2022.
The Germany star's last contract lasted until 2020, but Real have moved to extend that. Reports in his homeland suggest Kroos is now the highest paid German footballer in the world.
Kroos joined Real in 2014 from Bayern Munich for a fee of around £27m.
A statement on the La Liga club's website revealed the new agreement committed the 26-year-old to the side until June 30 2022.
Kroos will speak to the media on Thursday at Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
He has become a mainstay of the Real midfield side, playing 108 games and scoring four goals. He has won the Champions League, World Club Cup and two European Super Cups.
Kroos was linked with a move to Manchester United and City in the summer.
