Guaita and Albelda extend stays at Mestalla

Vicente Guaita and David Albelda have penned contract extensions to keep them at Valencia. Promising goalkeeper Guaita has signed a three-year extension to bind him to the Mestalla stadium until June 2015. Injuries to Cesar Sanchez and Miguel Moya gave Guaita a route into the first team this season and he grabbed it with both hands retaining the number one jersey for the whole campaign. 24-year-old Guaita came through the ranks at Valencia and expressed his delight at the new extension with his hometown club. "I have had a great year and I want to spend a lot of years at Valencia," Guaita told the club's official website. "I want to continue as I have been doing and just working hard. I have four years to do that now." Veteran midfielder Albelda, 33, also signed a one-year extension to extend his stay at the club. Valencia confirmed Albelda, who was out of contract in the summer, would stay until June 2012. Albelda has been at the club since 1996 and helped Valencia win league titles in 2002 and 2004 under Rafa Benitez
