Eibar ran out 3-2 winners at Girona in La Liga on Saturday, where there was an action-packed end to the first half.

The visitors went in front on 12 minutes when Charles scored from the penalty spot following a handball by Aday Benitez, which was confirmed after an on-pitch review by the referee.

Girona were level in the 40th minute when Cristhian Stuani headed in at the back post.

The hosts found themselves in front just before half-time when Stuani was again on target, his goal given this time by the Video Assistant Referee following an incorrect marginal offside flag.

In first-half stoppage time, Eibar made it 2-2 when Anaitz Arbilla headed in from a corner.

The second half did not prove so dramatic, as Sergi Enrich's looping header on 72 minutes secured victory for Eibar.

Elsewhere, Leganes climbed off the bottom after they beat fellow strugglers Rayo Vallecano 1-0 at home, with the visitors having a player sent off.
